In the multicultural capital city of Kos visit the remainings of the old Greek and Roman cities, the famous plane tree of Hippokrates, the impressive castle of the knights, the archeological museum and the "Asclepion" the place of worship of the ancient God of medicine Asclepios. For shopping options head for the central market with traditional Greek products in the city centre or just walk around the parks and streets of the city and the lively harbour promenade.

South of Mastichari visit Kefalos, the fishing village with the most popular sandy beaches. In the middle of the island, on the mountain "Dikeos" the picturesque villages of Zia and Palio Pyli offer a great panoramic view and in the village of Antimachia you can also see the traditional village house and the old windmill that still operates. A couple of kilometres to the west stretches the forest area of "Plaka" where many peacocks live. Do not forget to visit Therma beach with the volcanic spring of hot water that emerges from the earth and flows into the sea.
